PRIVACY POLICY

GTA6 Resources ("we", "us") runs gta6resources.com and The Block RP, our roleplay community at theblockgta6.com — a fan-run, unofficial hub for GTA 6 news and roleplay, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. This page explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at theblockroleplay@gmail.com.

1. What We Collect

Account info. If you create an account (to vote or comment on the wiki, or to build a roleplay character), you can sign up with an email and password, or sign in with Google or Discord. If you use Google or Discord, we receive the name, email address, and profile photo associated with that account. Account data is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase.

Newsletter email. If you sign up for leak alerts separately from an account, we store just that email address, where you signed up, and whether you're still subscribed.

Content you submit. Roleplay characters (name, backstory, photo, family relations, crew name), wiki comments and replies, wiki votes, and any profile picture you upload are stored and, except for votes, shown publicly. Comments display only the part of your email before the "@" — never your full address (unless you set a display name).

Saved items. Wiki entries, vehicles, weapons, and locations you bookmark are stored against your account and are private to you.

Automatically collected. We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand site traffic — general device/browser info, pages viewed, and approximate location from IP address. We don't sell this data.

Advertising. gta6resources.com shows ads served by Google AdSense to help fund the site (theblockgta6.com stays ad-free). Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads and, where you've consented, to personalize them based on your browsing activity. See Google's own explanation of how it uses advertising data.

Cookies & local storage. Google Analytics and our advertising partners only set analytics/advertising cookies if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit — until then, and if you click "Reject," those cookies aren't set and any ads you see are non-personalized. If you're in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, you'll also see a separate, Google-certified consent prompt before any personalized ad loads, as required by EU regulation. We also use your browser's local storage for small UI state, like remembering your cookie choice or that you've already clicked "Follow" on the giveaway widget — that's not used for tracking.

2. How We Use It

  • To run the account features you use — signing in, voting, commenting, saving items, building and displaying your roleplay character.
  • To notify you of activity related to your account, like replies to your wiki comments.
  • To send the emails you actually signed up for (leak alerts, digests) — never anything you didn't opt into.
  • To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
  • To run giveaways and contact winners.
  • To moderate content — reviewing and removing comments, profile pictures, or wiki submissions that violate our guidelines.

3. Who We Share It With

We don't sell your data. We use a small set of service providers to run the site, each bound by their own privacy practices: Supabase (accounts, database, file storage), Google and Discord (only if you choose to sign in with them), Resend (sending the emails you sign up for), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Google Analytics (traffic analytics), and Google AdSense (advertising on gta6resources.com).

4. Your Choices

  • Unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link at the bottom of it, or via /unsubscribe.
  • Update your display name, email, password, or profile picture — or remove your profile picture — any time from your account settings.
  • Request your account or data be deleted by emailing theblockroleplay@gmail.com.
  • Change your cookie choice any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer, or control cookies through your browser's settings.
  • Opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings, or the industry-wide opt-out at optout.aboutads.info.

5. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
